Timm Lane Rosenbach (born October 27 26th, 1966) is a American soccer coach at the university level as well as a former professional gridiron footballer. Rosenbach is the chief coach of football for Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado, taking the job for the school’s Division II division in December of 2014, and remained there until December of 2017. The team played from 1989 until 1995 with the National Football League (NFL) as well as The Canadian Football League (CFL). Rosenbach was a student at Washington State University and was picked during the initial round in 1989’s NFL draft.

Rosenbach began his career with the team, but injuries quickly caused him to retire. Rosenbach tried to return by joining his team, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL as well as with the New Orleans Saints of the NFL however, he failed. After his return to the NFL He signed for the New Orleans Saints, but was forced to sit out the entire season due to an injured disc that was in his back. He also did not play in his 1991 campaign with the Cardinals due to an injury to his knee that occurred during training camp.

Rosenbach was the quarterbacks coach at Washington State University from 2003 to 2007 under head coach Bill Doba. In February 2012, he was hired as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Montana, under head coach Robin Pflugrad, who was replaced by Mick Delaney prior to the start of the season.

He is a 2005 graduate of Washington State University, which has produced several other NFL quarterbacks, including Jack Thompson, Mark Rypien, Drew Bledsoe, Ryan Leaf, Jason Gesser, Alex Brink, Jeff Tuel, Luke Falk, Gardner Minshew and Anthony Gordon.

Rosenbach was picked with the second selection in the 1989 NFL Supplemental Draft by the Phoenix Cardinals. After being in spot duty during his first season during 1989, the quarterback was a starter for all 16 games of 1990, and took every offensive play with the Cardinals. He was able to throw for 3,098 yards and 16 touchdowns, as well as 17 interceptions and an 54.2 percent completion rate.

The family was born in Everett, Washington, Rosenbach’s father Lynn was a college and high school football coach. The family lived in a variety of different locations. When Lynn worked as an assistant for 3 years in the University of Montana in Missoula, Timm attended Hellgate High School for two years. Lynn was recruited from the department of athletics of Washington State University in 1983 and the family moved in the summer of 1983 in Pullman; Rosenbach attended Pullman High School for two years, and graduated in 1985. As an sophomore at Hellgate the school, he played halfback in his first season at Pullman before returning as a quarterback for the Greyhounds when he was an senior. He was also ranked in the national rankings in javelin throwing.

After graduating from high secondary school Rosenbach was a college player in Pullman for the local Washington State Cougars. Rosenbach was redshirted in 1985, and played for three seasons from 1986-88. Rosenbach was the most successful player in the nation in efficiency when he played his senior year under the head coach Dennis Erickson. After Erickson’s departure following two seasons with Miami in the beginning of 1989 Rosenbach missed his final season of his 5th year at the Palouse to join the NFL in the supplemental draft. He placed seventh in 1988’s Heisman Trophy voting.

Rosenbach became a coach after his retirement from the NFL, and he was hired in 1999 by NAIA school St. Ambrose University to be its quarterbacks coach. He has since gone on to work at other schools, including spending four years at his alma mater as its quarterbacks coach.
