Tim Spencer is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on December 10, 1960 in Webb City, Missouri, United States. Timothy Spencer (born December 10 1960) is an ex- professional American running back in the field of football which played with the USFL and the NFL from 1983 until 1990.

When 1994 began, Spencer came back to Ohio State to become their running backs coach which that he held until the year 2003. Since the 27th of January, 2004 Spencer is the head coach of the running backs of the Chicago Bears. Spencer was fired with his former team the Bears in 2013, following the hire by Marc Trestman.

The year 1985 saw Spencer was signed by in 1985 for the San Diego Chargers, the same NFL team that took him in the 11th Round in the 1983 NFL Draft. He ran for 478 yards and 10 touchdowns on 124 carries during the season. His most memorable NFL season came in 1989 when he ran for 521 yards and the ground on 134 runs. He was a reserve player throughout his playing career for the Chargers and was released after the season of 1990.

Spencer was selected to the Chicago Blitz of the United States Football League in 1983 following a college football experience in Ohio State where he ran for 1371 yards during his final season. He concluded his playing career by accumulating 3,553 yards of rushing and is ranked fifth on Ohio State’s record-setting rushing list, just behind just Archie Griffin (5,589), JK Dobbins (4,459), Ezekiel Elliott (3,961) along with Eddie George (3,768). Spencer was a backfield partner with Kevin Long as the starting running back alongside Chicago and was able to rush for 1157 yards over 300 carries and scored six touchdowns in his debut season.

The year 1984 was the time Spencer participated in his team the Arizona Wranglers and rushed for 1212 yards and 227 runs for a 5.3 yards per run. He also scored 17 touchdowns. The following year Spencer was a player with the Memphis Showboats and rushed for 789 yards in three touchdowns on 198 carries. Spencer ended up as the third highest rushing player during USFL history.

He joined Lovie Smith’s staff at Tampa Bay for the 2014 season.In 2019 Spencer was not retained by Coach Bruce Arians. In 2019 Spencer joined the coaching staff at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois as wide receivers coach.
