He was the winner of in the years 2010 and 2011. American Le Mans Series GTC Drivers Championships and is also the director of Pappas Enterprises Inc., the family’s long-running real estate firm.
Pappas along with the Black Swan team took one year off, before they moved into the new GTC category in the year 2010, winning his Black Swan team’s very first championship in class with four victories and 8 podiums in just eight races. 2011 was the year that Pappas as well as regular co-driver Jeroen Bleekemolen re-wrote the books as GTC champions, claiming four class wins and three second-place finishes across nine outings.
The team is under the Black Swan Racing banner, the Pappas team debuted a brand new Doran Ford GT-R for 2008 with six races within the GT2 category along with his co-driver Anthony Lazzaro.

Pappas started his professional career as a driver in 2000. He competed in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge competition. He then made select Rolex Sports Car Series starts. The year 2005 was the time he raced BMW 330i to two podiums as well as six top-ten results at the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge
In 2007 Pappas was the first to make his appearance with the American Le Mans Series with his Team Trans Sport organization. With 11 starts during his first season, partnered with Terry Borcheller in a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, Pappas had a season-best fourth place finishing within the GT2 category at the Petit Le Mans, while finishing fourth over the course of his entire career.
The 2012 season saw Pappas and Black Swan step up to P2 with a Lola B11/80 Honda, leased from Level 5 Motorsports. While kicking off the season with a podium at the 2012 12 Hours of Sebring an early race accident in the second round of the season at Long Beach led to the team withdrawing from P2 competition due to a lack of spare parts amid Lola’s financial administration.
