Tibor Selymes is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 14, 1970 in Bălan, Romania. Tibor is the son to Nicolae Selymes, who was also a professional footballer from the international scene that played with Dinamo Bucuresti and FC Brasov in the 1960s. In the year 2010 Selymes tried to start his own airline, but failed because he couldn’t attain the necessary qualifications required for flying an aeroplane.
In September of 2010, he was appointed manager of Astra Ploiesti. The club was dismissed in August 2011 after only two games during the season 2011-12, both of which were lost by Astra. Then, he took over FCM Targu Mures, but the team only played three games before being dismissed after a draw and two defeats. He was back at Astra in November of 2011. On the 16th of December, the same year, he got dismissed from Astra for the second time in the course of this season.
On 2 April 2013, Selymes returned to Dinamo, after 20 years. He signed a contract for two months to manage the second team of the club.
In September 2014, he signed a contract with former Romanian champions Oțelul Galați. He resigned in March 2015. In June 2015, he was named the new manager of Petrolul Ploiești.
Selymes earned 46 caps during the time of the national team, between the years 1992 and 1999. He was part of the team in 1994 for Euro 1996, the World Cup, Euro 1996 and the 1998 World Cup.

Tibor Selymes (born 14 May 1970) is a Romanian former soccer player and the current director of sports at Liga I club Politehnica Iasi.
The player was raised in Balan of Hungarian origin, Selymes made his debut in Divizia A for FC Brasov in 1988. Selymes later played for many times in Belgium.
On 17 June 2013, he signed Săgeata Năvodari that will make its Liga I debut. On 6 January 2014, Selymes was appointed as the manager of the Hungarian League club Kaposvári Rákóczi FC. The club was relegated at the end of the 2013–14 season, and Selymes left.
