After playing for Vancouver College high school, Scrubb began his studies in Carleton University in 2009, and missed the season 2009-10. Alongside Scrubb’s twin brother Philip Scrubb, he won five consecutive CIS National Championships with the Ravens. He was awarded his CIS Best Defensive Player award in 2014 and in 2015, and also earned All-CIS First Team distinction in 2015. The year 2013 was the one in which Scrubb received the Jack Donohue Trophy as the most Valuable player of this year’s CIS Championship. Also, he was Three-time CIS Tournament All-Star Team selection (2013 2013, 2014, and 2015).
In the 2010 World University Games, Scrubb reached the semifinals as part of Team Canada. The year before, he participated for Canada in an Olympic qualifying tournament alongside the senior Canadian national team of men but they failed to get to the Rio games.
In July 13, 2018, Scrubb signed with Pallacanestro Varese. He moved to French LNB ProA outfit SIG Strasbourg in July 2019.
