Thomas James Duarte (born March 30 1995) is an American football tight end, who is currently an unsigned free agent. He played his college football with the UCLA Bruins, and earned All-Conference second-team honors for the Pac-12 as an undergrad in the year 2015. Following the decision to forgo his last year of eligibility in college to be a part of for the 2016 NFL Draft, he was chosen to the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round. He spent the majority of his time as a member of Miami Dolphins in their national practice team. He was a member of The Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in the year 2019 however the league halted operations midway through its first season.

On September 2nd in 2017, Duarte was released from the Dolphins and was subsequently signed as a practice team member on the following day. Duarte was elevated onto the roster active on the 20th of December to take over the place of the tight-end Julius Thomas, who was placed on reserve due to injury.

During the 2018 offseason, Duarte missed part of the team’s training program with a shoulder injury. He returned for training camp but was among the Dolphins final cuts before the 2018 season after he failed to supplant veterans MarQueis Gray and A. J. Derby.

On August 24, 2019, Duarte was signed by the Atlanta Falcons. He was waived on August 31, 2019.
