Tetiana Starodub Ph.D. (Political Sciences) Senior Researcher (born on October 4, 1979) is an Ukrainian scientist as well as Associate Professor of International Relations Department, Kyiv Academy for the Humanities, Professor of Political Analytics, Associate Professor and forecasting department of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President’s Office of Ukraine. The author of a number of noteworthy scientific papers that focus on the security of regional regions of the state as well as the development of a new regionalist ideology. Participant in greater than forty international research conferences in Ukraine and around the world.

More than 70 research and academic papers are devoted to the following subjects: (1) the impact on the processes that form the regions of Ukraine in resolving its foreign policy challenges in the sphere of security for the nation, (2) the development of a regional security infrastructure in the Black Sea region, (3) enhancement of the conceptual and methodological foundations for the governance of global and regional security, and (4) challenges in shaping the new regionalist concept across the globe. The main focus is on the impact of multiregionalism concepts in shaping the foreign policy that the government has in its area of security. Particularly, more extensive considerations are given to studies of the foreign regional policies of the states that follow: Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, New Zealand and China. Particularly, studies by T. Starodub have been devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the interregional development as it relates to cooperation with the international organizations that include: EU, NATO, BSEC and ODED- GUAM within the larger Black Sea. The primary focus was laid by the author to the effects of the “Arab spring” (2011) for Middle East and Northern Africa.

Starodub was born in the small town Lanivtsi, though grew up in the urban village Serhijivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district, Odesa region. Ukraine and where she graduated from high school in the fullest sense #8. In 1994 entered Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi lycee of Business and Economics and successfully graduated from it in 1996. From 1996 until 2001, was studying at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv, Institute of International Relations. Received a Ph.D. in the field of Political Science (“Processes of creating a regional identities that of Ukraine as a component of its foreign policy within the sphere of security”) with a specialization “The grounds of national security of the state” in 2005. In 2010, he was awarded the Academic title of Senior Researcher in the speciality “Regional security of the state” Political Sciences. In 2005-2010 was chief consultant and then state expert of Global security and European integration Department of National Institute of International Security Problems of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine; 2010-2011 – Chief consultant of the Department of global studies and security strategies and Chief consultant of the Sector of Scientific, Expert and Specialized Scientific Councils of Scientific-Organizational Department of the National Institute for Strategic Studies for President of Ukraine. Since 2007 is the Associate Professor of International Relations Department, Kyiv Academy for the Humanities. In 2010 was on practical study in The EU Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Brussels, Belgium being on the practical training in European Parliament and European Commission. Since 2011, is an associate professor in the Political analytics as well as Forecasting Department of National Academy of Public Administration under the Office of The President of Ukraine.

In 2007-2010, I was in charge of the post of Tech Secretary of Expert Council of Higher Certification Commission of Ukraine on Questions of National Security. In 2008-2010 , was the Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Scientific Council of National Institute of International Security Problems of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine to earn an honorary qualification from Doctor Ph.D. (political science) in the following areas that deal with national security issues for the nation; human and political safety of state as well as security in the region of the state and geopolitics. From 2010 to April of 2011 was the Scientific Secretary of Expert Council of Higher Certification Commission of Ukraine on issues of National Security (social, economic, and humanitarian sciences). In 2011 , from January through August, he was Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Scientific Council of National Institute for Strategic Studies for the President of Ukraine for the purpose of obtaining an honorary qualification in Doctor Ph.D. in the following specialties: nation security and state (political sciences) as well as human and political security of state (philosophic sciences). T. Starodub is a co-author on the Ph.D. examination program on the following area of study: security of the state’s regional borders (political sciences).
