Terry Gennoe is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on March 16, 1953 in England, United Kingdom. Terence William Gennoe (born 16 March 1953) is an English former professional footballer. He made over 400 games during the Football League playing as a goalkeeper for Bury, Halifax Town, Southampton as well as on loans at Crystal Palace, before spending 10 years at Blackburn Rovers, from 1981 to 1991. Then he became a coach and later was Blackburn Rovers’ goalkeeping coach before joining Newcastle United (for two spells), Celtic and Aston Villa.
In September of 2011, Gennoe returned after three seasons of absence from football to take over as the goalkeeper coach for the first team for Villa Park, replacing Rafa Gonzalez. Gennoe was joined by Shay Given, who he was previously a coach at Rovers as well as the Magpies and the Magpies, with Gennoe as a coach for Brad Guzan and Andy Marshall at the Birmingham club. Gennoe quit his position at the Midlands club on March of 2016 after the manager of the club, Remi Garde departed, and Gennoe becoming the replacement for Gary Walsh.
On July 4, 2006, Gennoe was back in Tyneside on a second time.

Gennoe began his career with Bury before moving towards Halifax Town making 78 league appearances. Then he moved to Southampton and played with Nottingham Forest in the 1979 League Cup Final and made 36 league appearances for the club. and then on to Crystal Palace (on loan) with three league appearances, and finally making the move into Blackburn Rovers, where he had 289 league games during his time in the club. Gennoe remains the record for the club record for the most appearances in league by an Rovers goalkeeper. Brad Friedel left Blackburn after eight seasons in the year 2008, having played 287 times in the league only two games short of Gennoe’s record.
Gennoe quit his job in 1991, but he continued to work as the goalkeeping coach in Ewood Park. Gennoe’s tenure at Ewood Park was ended due to an unresolved contract dispute in 1997, but he soon working again for Kenny Dalglish and Shay Given at St James’ Park. Gennoe was dismissed from Tyneside In 1999, he left Tyneside to accept an identical position at Celtic and stayed there until the end of 2005.
