Palepoi signed with the San Diego Chargers on May 13th, 2014 following his decision to go not selected during the 2014 NFL Draft. The player was drafted in the NFL debut on the 8th of September, 2014, against the Arizona Cardinals, recording one tackle. He was disqualified for the 2015 season due to fractured foot on the 3rd of August, 2015.

On March 20, 2017, Palepoi re-signed with the Chargers.

On December 22, 2018, Palepoi signed with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football. The league ceased operations in April 2019.

Palepoi was a transfer and played in his team, the Utah Utes of the University of Utah from 2012 until 2013. He was a second-team All Pac-12 selection and captain of the team during his senior season. He had 74 tackles, 12.5 defensive tackles, and 6.5 tackles for loss during his time at his school, the University of Utah.
