Morgan was born and raised within her home in the Western Australia region of Kimberley in Kununurra before moving to Broome at the age of eleven. In 2009, she was a member of the WAWFL the club South Fremantle. She initially started as a forward. She later changed to the back line due to a lack of players and then stayed on as an auxiliary back. She was captain of the team and was awarded the top and fairest award in the season of 2016. Despite her team’s success she was not able to get being selected at the state level as well as at the annual showcase games in a variety of occasions.
Morgan was picked by Collingwood with the number at 144. She joined 22 other West Australians drafted in the inaugural AFL Women’s draft. Morgan made her debut in round one of 2017, during the first AFLW game held at IKON Park against Carlton. Throughout the season, she shared a room with her fellow West Australian teammate Caitlyn Edwards.
