Tamara Kim “Tammy” Sutton-Brown (born on 27th January 1978) is a Canadian retired professional basketball player. Her main role was that of a center. Through her entire playing career, she played for both the Charlotte Sting and Indiana Fever of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She has previously played for Asia as well as Europe. Sutton-Brown won an WNBA title (2012) as well as being double-time WNBA All-Star.

Sutton-Brown was a star in her second season, scoring 11.9 per game, 6.0 rpg and 1.1 BPG. Her impressive season saw her selected for the 2002 WNBA All-Star Game, becoming the first Canadian WNBA player to be selected to be an all- star.

During the 2007 season with the Fever, Sutton-Brown was selected into the 2007 WNBA All-Star Game and had averaged a career-high in scoring with 12 ppg.

After the 2006 season ended, the Sting ceased operations and most of the remaining players were entered in a dispersal draft that followed the Sting’s demise. Since she was an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2006 season, she was exempt from entering the dispersal draft. However, on March 22, 2007, she signed with the Indiana Fever. She would play alongside superstar forward Tamika Catchings.

Sutton-Brown was drafted 18th overall at the end of the first round in 2001’s WNBA Draft by Charlotte Sting. In her first season, Sutton-Brown made her debut WNBA Finals appearance when the Sting made it all up into the WNBA Finals but they were defeated in a two-game victory against the Los Angeles Sparks.
