Thomas “Tam” Scobbie (born 31 March 1988 in Falkirk) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Kelty Hearts. He was previously a player with Falkirk, St Johnstone, Partick Thistle, Brechin City and Dundee United. Scobbie was a regular member of Scotland’s under-21 national team. Scotland Under-21 team.

In the 2007-08 season, Scobbie had a great start for the club in the first match of the year, after the player provided an assist for Michael Higdon, as Falkirk defeated Gretna by a score of 4-0. Then, Scobbie was criticized during an appearance against Hearts and was consequently being dismissed. Scobbie later reverted his mistakes after Hearts and Falkirk encounter again with his debut goal. Scobbie left Falkirk under freedom of contract in May 2012 and signed a two- year contract with St Johnstone. Scobbie made his debut for the club, where he made his first start, in a 2–1 loss against Aberdeen on 18 August 2012. However, Scobbie was unable to regain his first team place at St Johnstone, as he spent on the bench and had his own injury concerns.

In the 2008-09 season, Scobbie had been diagnosed as having an injury to his pelvis. After two months of absence, Scobbie made his return on the bench as Falkirk suffered a 2-1 defeat in a game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, but did not take part in. Scobbie returned to play, as Falkirk defeated Hearts by a score of 2-1 on September 13, 2008. In the final stages of September, manager John Hughes commented that Scobbie’s advancement could lead to him becoming captain, and possibly even a manager. On April 26, 2009, he scored a goal in the 2-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup semi-final. However, Falkirk was beaten 1-1 against Rangers at the end of. In the lead-up to final Scottish Cup final, Scobbie scored his first goal of the season during a 2-1 win against Motherwell on May 2, 2009. After the defeat, Scobbie said the defeat was a heartbreaking loss that left him “heartbroken”.
