Taijo Teniste (born 31 January 1988) is an Estonian professional footballer, who plays as a right-back for the Eliteserien club Brann and also for the Estonia National team.
On July 4th, 2011 Teniste became a member of League Two club Swindon Town for a trial but was not given a contract because the manager Paolo Di Canio felt Teniste wasn’t a natural left-back.
The 1st of September, 2011 Teniste was signed by Norwegian club Sogndal on loan until the season’s end, with the option of making the loan permanent. The debut was made in the Tippeligaen on September 11, in a 0-0 draw at home against Aalesund in which he was an alternative to Ole Jorgen Halvorsen in injury time. On the 23rd of December, 2011 Teniste signed a 2-year agreement with Sogndal. The contract was later extended to 2015 before being extended until 2017. Teniste made his debut goal with Sogndal on November 26, 2017, scoring the 5-2 win at home against Valerenga in the final game of the 2017 season.

In January 2015, Teniste made a move with Levadia. The team made its debut at the Meistriliiga on the 3rd of April, 2005, winning 4-0 in a home win over Merkuur Tartu. Teniste was instrumental in helping Levadia to win four consecutive Meistriliiga championships in 2007 and 2006 and the year 2009.
Teniste made his debut as a senior international player for Estonia on the 9th November 2007 replacing Urmas A. Rooba at the end of 70 minutes of a 2-0 away defeat against Saudi Arabia in a friendly.
