Tadashi Tomori is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on December 28, 1959 in Naha, Japan. Tadashi Tomori (You Li Zheng Tomori Tadashi, born December 28th 1959) is a retired Japanese boxer who was an ex- WBC Junior Flyweight Champion.

His first match against Hilario Zapata was originally scheduled for Panama City on June 5 in 1982. The date was changed until July 20 before being transferred to the Ishikawa Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Ishikawa due to Tomori’s injured rib. In the first round, Tomori lost to Zapata in an unanimous decision. Misako was adamant about the judges’ decision to the WBC and Tomori was able to rematch Zapata as a challenger in Zapata’s Kuramae Kokugikan on November 30 in that same year. However, Tomori who believed in his winning in the previous bout, was told that he was not in a position to fight as much as the 20th of July. He was cut over his left eye during the sixth round and was taken out in the eighth after being knocked down during the 7th and 8th rounds. A few minutes after the combat, Tomori hung up his gloves.

The first time Tomori began as an ex-fighter who excelled at his speed and ability. In his professional life Tomori had already mastered the art of fighting to be a spotlight. But his transition into an in-fighter was in the process of being completed. His manager Misako forced him to attend the temple to do the sitting meditation in order to train his mind. Tomori was able to regain title vacant Japanese title with an extremely close decision in October of 1981. He was able to defend it in an unanimous decision in his debut professional bout in his home town of Naha. At the time, Misako sensed that Tomori was gaining energy and decided to schedule the world title for Tomori.

Tomori was the winner of Japan’s championship for inter-high schools in the class of 45 kg in 1977. He then recorded his amateur records of 16-4 (3 knockouts) before becoming a professional. Hitoshi Misako who is director of Misako Boxing Gym in Tokyo visited Okinawa and urged Tomori to become a professional. After joining the gym in 1978 the trainer made his debut as a professional on Korakuen Hall. On March 19, 1979 Tomori took home the first annual Japanese boxing championship, All-Japan Rookie King Tournament in the junior flyweight division. Though he was defeated on points against Kazunori Tenryu during the Japanese junior flyweight title match during November of 1979. He smashed out the sixteen-time champion Tenryu in the opening round of the match in February 1980 in order to claim the title. However , he fell in the points division to Shuichi Hozumi during his second defense in August that year. He was in competition with Masaharu Inami to win the vacant title, but was a loss.
