Susan Claire Chapman (also known as Sue Chapman-Popa, or Sue Chapman, born 17 September 1962) is an Australian former national representative as well as an Olympic rower. She was a national as well as Commonwealth Games champion, she was awarded a bronze medal in the coxed four in 1984’s Summer Olympics rowing in the three-seat. This was the first Olympic medal for rowing for women.

Ion was a world champion, and a dual Olympian and took silver in the Australian men’s eight in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The couple’s daughter Rosemary Popa (born 1991) is an Australian national champion rower. An American and Australian citizen in two different countries She has competed for both the US as well as Australia at the World Rowing Championships.

Chapman had her Australian representative debut at 1984’s U23 Trans-Tasman series that was held between Australian as well as New Zealand. She was a member of the women’s coxed four that won all four match races in that event.
