Ibarra was previously a Volador from 1990 to 1997, and then as Super Parka since then. Ibarra is also the dad of the legendary Luchador Volador Jr. and is the grandfather of Flyer and the great-uncle to L.A. Park (the original La Parka), who was the source of inspiration for”Super Parka. “Super Parka” character. In his professional career, he has been associated with all of the biggest Mexican wrestling organizations, including Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and the World Wrestling Association (WWA) however, he primarily competes in both the Mexican as well as the US Independent circuit. Although he is no longer masked from the scene in Mexico, Ibarra still wears the “Super Parka” mask when wrestling in the United States.
In September 1999, he welcomed his son to professional wrestling when he helped Volador Jr. make his debut. In 2000, Super Parka, along with Super Calo, Halloween, and Damian 666, toured Japan and wrestled with All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) between August in September and August 2000. Super Parka would later return to AJPW together along with La Parka. Then, in Mexico Super Parka began to be a part of the Tijuana located World Wrestling Association around the year 2000. On March 31 2000, he defeated Halloween to take home his first WWA World Junior Light Heavyweight Championship. The reigning WWA Junior Light Heavyweight Champion ran through April 30, 2002 at which point the title was lost to Super Kendo. Super Parka regained the title just a few months later and kept it until June 2004 for more than 700 days until the title was lost to Super Kendo.
On September 11, 2015 Ibarra returned to CMLL after an almost eight-year absence. He was originally set to team with his son Volador Jr. and his nephew L.A. Park, but Park was fired in the week leading up to the show for using profanity during a CMLL show. Instead of the Ibarra family trio Super Parka teamed up with his son and Valiente for his CMLL return. A couple of months later Super Parka began working a storyline feud against Negro Casas, one of CMLL’s resident veteran rudos. The story line eventually led to the two captaining a team of three, facing off during the 2015 Infierno en el Ring. Super Parka teamed with Máximo Sexy and Valiente while Casas teamed up with Kamaitachi and Bárbaro Cavernario. After Super Parka’s team won the match both Super Parka and Casas laid out a Lucha de Apuestas challenge, daring each other to put their hair on the line for a special “bet match” between the two. Moments later CMLL officials came to the ring to sign the contract for the following week’s Sin Piedad (“No Mercy”) show. Casas defeated Super Parka, forcing Super Parka to have all his hair shaved off as a result. Casas’ nephew Puma helped his uncle win the match, much to the displeasure of Volador Jr. who was in his father’s corner. Volador Jr. vowed to get revenge for what he described as the Casas family’s cheating ways.
In the month of March 1997, Ramon Ibarra donned a new costume and mask as Super Parka, a character that was influenced from his son Adolfo Tapia’s highly popular “La Parka” character. In fact, he was imitating the mask and costume however, he wore an orange skeleton in place of white, and a huge Superman “S” on the chest. In the beginning, Ibarra wrestled in a mask in the role of Volador as a member of AAA and then masked with the mask of Super Parka on the independent circuit. In the event that Volador was defeated in an Lucha de Apuesta match to Pimpinela Escarlata and got his hair cut, and he was banned from the Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission for violating the rules that govern wrestlers masked. This suspension wasn’t removed until Ibarra quit competing as Volador and began working as Super Parka for the full time. Although he worked for AAA in the role of Volador, Super Parka did not wrestle for AAA due to the fact that they had developed an “La Parka clone” in La Parka, Jr. to replace the original (La Parka was wrestling full-time in the US). In 1999, Super Parka worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) in Naucalpan, Mexico State where Super Parka beat Pirata Morgan to take home the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship. The title he held for 23 consecutive days, the most short reign for an IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, before losing the title at the hands of Scorpio, Jr.

Ibarra began his professional debut in 1976, under the name of the ring “Remo Banda”, wrestling without the mask. At the beginning of his career, he also wrestled as the Enmascarado “Rayo Norteno” (“Northern Lightning”) but lost his mask during the Lucha de Apuesta, or bet-match in a match against El Pantera (not the current Pantera) on the 18th of July in 1976. From that point on, he wrestled under the name Remo Banda.
In the latter part of 1990, EMLL decided it was the right time to allow Ramon Ibarra to work as an enmascarado once more because they wanted to refresh his look after having played “Remo Banda” for 14 years. At first EMLL made an offer to Ibarra the ring character as well as the mask of Oro however, Ibarra declined the offer due to the mask’s limited visibility because of the mesh that covered the eyes. EMLL brought in a wrestler of the teen age to be Oro while they developed a different mask and ring for Ibarra named “Volador”, the Spanish word for “Flyer”, inspired by the Voladores from Mexico. Volador was paired with Angel Azteca and together the team won the Mexican National Tag Team Championship on March 9, 1991 after they beat the team consisting of Pierroth Jr. and Bestia Salvaje. The team held the title for 81 days, before losing in the hands of Los Destructores (Tony Arce and Vulcano) on May 29, 1991. After the team’s loss, Volador along with Angel Azteca broke up amicably as each wrestler was focused on their individual careers and future. In the early part of 1992, Volador began a new partnership with a talented young wrestler named Misterioso and they were able to win the Mexican National Tag Team title from Los Destructores on March 8 on the 8th of March, 1992. In the mid-1992 time frame, EMLL Booker Antonio Pena decided to break out of EMLL and establish an independent promotion Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA which is now also known as Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide) and brought several EMLL wrestlers along with him. which included Volador along with Misterioso who carried their Mexican National Tag Team Championship along with them up to AAA The team kept the belts until the end of august 28, 1992 which they lost in a match with Los Destructores as part of the rivalry that had transferred to EMLL and EMLL to AAA. Volador and Misterioso won the title back, however, they losing the crown on February 12th of 1993. After the loss of the title, the team began a storyline that saw the two men turn against each other, with Misterioso turning into a Rudo (bad man) while he was battling Volador. The conflict between the two continued to unfold over a long time and culminated in the Lucha de Apuesta match on July 15, 1995 in which both players were able to put on their masks and stand for the fight. The event brought an audience of 16,000 at El Torero de Tijuana for an extremely profitable event. The cornerman of Misterioso during the match Blue Panther attempted to injure Volador (in terms of storyline) by using the use of a Martinete (piledriver). Misterioso helped for his old friend rescuing his life from Blue Panther but ended up being knocked unconscious by a chair strike at the head. To show respect to his former partner and out of appreciation for what he’d accomplished, Volador pulled the unconscious Misterioso over himself and let the referee make a count of three. After the match, Misteriosos requested Volador not to take off the mask, but Volador was a gentleman true to his word, and removed the mask.
On October 9, 2003, Super Parka was unmasked as he lost a Lucha de Apuesta match to El Hijo del Santo in the main event of a very successful WWA show in Tijuana. In 2005 Super Parka had his hair shaved off when he lost to his nephew L.A. Park (forced to change his name for legal reasons) when they were the last two wrestlers left in a cage match that also included Dr. Wagner, Jr. and Perro Aguayo, Jr.. In 2007 Super Parka made several appearances for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL; previously known as EMLL) as a freelance wrestler, paying off the fact that L.A. Park was one of CMLL’s headline wrestlers at the time. In CMLL he lost two Lucha de Apuesta matches in quick succession being shaved bald by Héctor Garza and Último Guerrero. Super Parka has subsequently stopped working for CMLL, working select dates for various Mexican or US wrestling promotions. When he wrestles in the United States he wears the Super Parka mask, something that is not allowed in Mexico, while in Mexico he wears the mask to the ring, but removes it before the match to comply with the rules of Lucha Libre.
