Sundar C. is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on January 21, 1968 in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. Sundar C started his career as an assistant director for Manivannan. He then began his career as a director in Murai Maman (1995). Sundar stated that he had initially was looking for a top action hero to take on the leading role in his film. He contacted Sarathkumar however the producer was unable to choose the actor. In the end, the director decided to choose Jayaram for the lead character in the film. He added that he also tapped on his natural humor, since Jayaram was well-known for his humor in Malayalam. Murai Maaman made a good impression at the box office , and Sundar continued to direct numerous films with humour themes, including Ullathai Allitha (1996), Mettukudi (1996) and Unakkaga Ellam Unakkaga (1999). In 1997 Sundar directed his most well-known project to the present time, Arunachalam, with Rajinikanth. He has also directed thriller and action films like Unnai Kann Theduthey (2000), Rishi (2001) and Chinna (2005).
