James Stewart Robert Kerr (born 13 November 1974) is a Scottish former professional footballer who was goalkeeper with Celtic, Swindon Town, Brighton and Wigan Athletic. Kerr was forced to take early retirement at 27 due to an injury to his back.

On the 24th of December, the year 2015 Kerr became the the goalkeeper coach in the first team of MLS club Orlando City. He worked together with Joe Bendik, who then had a fantastic season. Bendik took home”Save of the Week” MLS “Save of the Week” record eleven times as well as Kerr being given a huge amount of praise for helping to restore Bendik”s confidence. On the 8th of December, 2016, Kerr was elevated to the post Director of Goalkeeping, along with his new position as the Goalkeeping Coach for First Team in Orlando City. A week after that MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps requested approval from Orlando City to speak to Kerr about the job that was Head of Goalkeeping as well as First Team Goalkeeper Coach following conversations about the position with Vancouver Kerr was appointed on January 5th.
