Steven Paterson is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on April 25, 1975 in Cambusbarron, United Kingdom. Paterson is born in Stirling Royal Infirmary on 25 April 1975. He is the older of two sons that were the children of Peter Paterson and Janice Paterson (nee McGill). He was the son of an English teacher at the St Modan’s High School in Stirling and also an historian for the area. His mother worked as a nurse at his local health authority.
The 1st of July, the 1st of July, 2015 Paterson delivered his first speech at Parliament’s House of Commons. He was named to the SNP Westminster Group’s Defence Team which at the time was headed by SNP Defence spokesperson Brendan O’Hara MP.
On 15 January 2015, he was chosen as the SNP candidate to contest Stirling constituency at the general election on 7 May. He came first after receiving 23,783 first preference votes with a 45.6% share of the vote to achieve a 10,480 majority over Labour where their incumbent MP, Anne McGuire, retired.
Paterson made national news in late 2016 by claiming expenses of £40 for dog care and £640 for a chair, and for being the UK’s fifth most expensive MP, claiming almost £100,000 in just one year. A local councilor accused Paterson of showing a ‘cavalier attitude to taxpayers’ money’.
In January 2013 Paterson was named as deputy SNP group leader of Stirling Council.

Steven Alexander Paterson (born 25 April 1975) was an ex- Scottish National Party (SNP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Stirling between 2015 and the year 2017. He was not re-elected to be a member of for the SNP in the Stirling seat in the 2019 Westminster election.
In 2006 He was appointed Media and Communications Manager to Bruce Crawford, the SNP MSP Bruce Crawford. In 2007, he was elected as a member of the Stirling Council in the 2007 Stirling Council election for the Stirling East ward where he was the top vote-getter with 1,821 first preference. The 2012 Stirling Council election he was elected, once again topping the vote, with 1,278 first preference.
On 30 June 2015, he announced his intention to stand down as Councillor for the Stirling East ward.
