Steven McLean (born 1 April 1981) is a Scottish football referee. He was appointed an official FIFA referee in the year 2010 and was chosen to officiate at the 2011 UEFA U17 European Championship.

But at the conclusion of the league campaign, he was astonished Aberdeen director Derek McInnes by failing to give a foul decision during the final minute of their game with Motherwell and allowing Motherwell scoring the winner, and thus surpass Aberdeen in the league standings.
