Steve Smith Sr. is one of the most popular and richest American Football Player who was born on May 12, 1979 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The Ravens 3rd preseason match in which they played The Redskins, Smith was ejected together with the cornerback Chris Culliver. Smith was named the team’s starting punt returner in Week 1. At 36, he’s one of some of the longest-running punt returners of the league’s history. In the Ravens winning their first game in the series against Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 the player was forced to quit the game at the end of the third quarter because of an injury to his lower back which caused by a collision by Linebacker Lawrence Timmons. The next day the team announced that Smith had broken four ribs in the Week 4 game.

During the 2003 season, Smith played a critical role for the Panther offense and helped lead them to their first NFC title in franchise history. He finished the regular season with 88 receptions for 1,110 yards and 7 touchdowns. He eclipsed the 1,000 receiving yards mark for the first time in his career in 2003. During the NFC divisional playoffs, Smith caught a 69-yard pass and ran it for a touchdown in the 2nd overtime period to defeat the St. Louis Rams 29–23. He finished that game with 6 catches, 163 yards, and the one TD. In Super Bowl XXXVIII, he caught 4 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown, and returned a kickoff for 30 yards in the Panthers’ 32–29 loss to the New England Patriots.
Smith suffered a severe break in his leg during the 2004 NFL season opener against the Green Bay Packers, and was out for the remainder of the year. Before the injury, he managed to record 6 catches for 60 yards, and even attempted a pass which fell incomplete.
After 2 years of Santa Monica College, Smith moved into at the University of Utah, where Smith established himself as an outstanding receiver in the Utah Utes football team in the Mountain West Conference where he was a teammate with future NFL running back Mike Anderson. At the University of Utah, Smith broke the record for yards per catch and an average of 20.6 average. He was also selected to be a part of the all-star team of the conference twice. However, he did not play in the bowl game during his final season due to an injury. Following his participation in the Blue-Gray All-Star game on December 25 2000 Smith was beginning to attract interest from different NFL Scouts. Smith was awarded the offensive MVP award at the January 13th, 2001 East West Shrine Game.

Stevonne Latrall Smith Jr. (born on 12 May 1979) is an American former professional footballer who played wide receiver for the duration of 16 years in the National Football League (NFL) mostly for the Carolina Panthers. He played for the college team, the Utah Utes, and was selected into the Panthers at the end of the second round in 2001’s NFL Draft. He was a player with the Baltimore Ravens during the final three years of his career.
Smith was a student at University High School in Los Angeles where he was a star in track and field. On the football field, he was a defensive and running back. He was also an All-Metro League selection as well as an All-California Interscholastic Federation selection. Smith completed his studies at University High School in 1997.
During the 2002 NFL season, Smith earned a starting position as a wide receiver and continued as the team’s kick returner and punt returner. In 2002, Smith was involved in an altercation in a training camp dormitory with fellow receiver Guilian Gary. On November 10, 2002, Smith was involved with an altercation with his teammate Anthony Bright during a film-room meeting. Smith was suspended after that incident, which left Bright with a fractured orbital lobe. Smith was arrested and briefly jailed on charges of misdemeanor assault, and the Panthers suspended him for one game on November 21. Smith finished the 2002 season with 54 receptions for 872 yards and 3 touchdowns.
