Steve Round (born 9 November 1970 in Burton upon Trent) is a English football coach as well as a former player. He was the assistant manager of Premier League sides Everton & Manchester United and Director of Football at Aston Villa. He is currently on Mikel Arteta’s coaching team for Arsenal FC.
In May 2013, it was announced that Round was set to succeed Moyes in his new role at Manchester United, where he was expected to succeed the long-serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Round was appointed to his new position on the 1st of July. On the 22nd of April, 2014 Round had been relieved from his post at United after the demotion of Moyes.
He was appointed First-team manager at Newcastle at the beginning of July and was working alongside Sam Allardyce. On July 4, the 4th of July in 2008 Round was appointed assistant manager of David Moyes at Everton, succeeding Alan Irvine who had left in mid-season of the previous season.

As a player Round was a full-back for Derby County, before being forced to retire prematurely due to injuries after only nine league matches. Round was a member of the coaching staff of the club and it was there that he met his first mentor, Steve McClaren. After McClaren got the job of Middlesbrough director in the year 2001, McClaren added Round to his coaching team.
McClaren was named England the head coach of England in the year 2006 He was then named Round to his backroom team. Round continued to work with Middlesbrough in a dual capacity until the 15th of December after which he quit the club with mutual consent due to an “difference in philosophy and ideas” with the new coach Gareth Southgate.
On 1 September 2016, Round was appointed as Director of Football at Aston Villa. On 4 July 2018, Round left Aston Villa as director of football.
