Steve LeRoi Papin (born February 28th in 1972) is an former American offensive football player that played for seven seasons with the Arena Football League (AFL) with the San Jose SaberCats and New York Dragons. He initially enrolled in West Valley College before transferring to Portland State University. He was a student at Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, California. Papin had also been a part of both the Scottish Claymores and San Diego Riptide.
Papin was the Head Coach of the Gunderson High school Grizzlies from San Jose, California from 2011 until 2013. He left from the position of Grizzlies head coach on April of 2014. He was named director of Independence’s 76ers in the year 2014.
Papin was the defensive coordinator of the San Diego Riptide in 2005. He was defensive coordinator for the Central Valley Coyotes of the Af2 in the year 2006. He was the offensive coordinator for the Af2’s Everett Hawks in 2007. Papin was offensive coordinator for the Tri-Cities Fever of the af2 in the year 2008. He was the offensive coordinator for San Jose Wolves of the American Indoor Football Association in 2010. He was the wide receivers coach for the San Jose SaberCats in 2011.

Papin was a player as a player for Portland State Vikings, finishing third in the voting on the Harlon Hill Trophy in his senior season in 1995, after logging 2,397 yards of all-purpose yards.

In 2015, Papin was hired by CBS Sports Network as a sideline analyst for its coverage of the AFL.
