Steve Millen is one of the most popular and richest Racing Driver who was born on February 17, 1953 in Auckland, Auckland Region, New Zealand. Steve Millen (born 17 February 1950) is a retired New Zealand IMSA racecar driver. Through the 70s and the 1980s, Millen raced in hillclimbing and Formula Ford before doing stadium off-road racing in the United States in the Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group (MTEG). Then, he began racing in sports cars, winning many championships in IMSA Camel GT. Millen was the winner of more than 20 race in the championship which included those of the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Millen was the winner of his 1992 IMSA GTS championship in a Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo car. Millen won his first race at the 12 Hours of Sebring and finished in the top five of the beginning of four races before the season ended in 1993 due to injuries sustained in the Watkins Glen International.

In 1995, Millen won the 12 Hours of Sebring. He was invited to the International Race of Champions (IROC). He was leading the IMSA GTS championship, when he had a professional career-ending crash at Road Atlanta. He had competed in three of four IROC races.

Millen changed into his IMSA Camel GT series in the year 1990. He was the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans Rookie of the Year. He took three wins and received five poles during the year 1990. He took seven poles and five victories in the year 1991. He also raced with Allan Moffat Racing in the 1991 Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst, with Gary Brabham in a Ford Sierra RS500 however the car was not able to complete the event. Millen expressed an interest to return, but no offer was made by the Moffat team awaiting that the returning of car maker Reudi Eggenberger in 1992 with his star driver Klaus Niedzwiedz.

Millen began his career in racing the sport of hillclimbing in the year 1969. Millen then joined his first race in the Formula Ford series. He began racing rally cars around the middle of the 1970s. He began racing off-road within the Mickey Thompson Entertainment Group (MTEG) stadium series in the beginning of the 1980s. He won the 1986, 1988, and 1989 Mickey Thompson Off-Road Grand Prix Grand National Sports Truck Championships. He also took home the two Indy Lights races in the series’ debut season of 1986 the same year. and he is also a participant in the final round of the World Rally Championship in the 21st Olympus Rally driving for Toyota Team Europe, accompanying the Swedish drivers Bjorn Waldegard and Lars-Erik Topph.

He founded Stillen which was an off-the-shelf company for performance parts that specialized in Nissan and other high-performance vehicles in the year 1986. In the 90s, Millen offered a line of high-performance, custom-designed Chevrolet Suburban SUVs, and various modified Nissan special vehicles. Millen is also active in the design and development of race cars for hill-climbing including in the Pikes Peak and Race to the Sky hillclimbs situated in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Millen returned in 1994, and won the IMSA GTS championship. He won the 1994 24 Hours of Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring, and was first in class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
