Steve Kinsey is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on January 2, 1963 in Manchester, England, United Kingdom. Stephen Kinsey (born 2 January 1963) is an English former football player who made his debut in 1979 at Manchester City before moving to the United States in 1986. Then he played professionally for the Major Indoor Soccer League, American Soccer League and others before retiring in 1997.
In the autumn of 1990 Kinsey was back in the MISL but this time as a member of his team, the Tacoma Stars. On June 7, 1991, he joined the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the APSL However, he stayed away from joining the team because his wife was near to giving birth in Tacoma. In August of 1991 the Rowdies were forced to release Kinsey after he was unable to make it to the scoreboard in just five matches and after which he was put sitting on their bench. Kinsey went back to his home in the UK where he was a part of three teams quickly during the 1991-92 campaign: Rochdale, St Mirren and Coleraine.
The Detroit Neon of the Continental Indoor Soccer League then drafted Kinsey in April 1994. He played two summer indoor seasons with the Neon. In January 1996, Kinsey signed with the Tampa Bay Terror of the National Professional Soccer League. In March 1996, he signed with the Richmond Kickers of the USISL. In the fall of 1997, Kinsey signed a series of 15-day contracts with the Buffalo Blizzard before signing for the remainder of the season in December 1997.
In February 1994, Kinsey signed with the Milwaukee Wave of the National Professional Soccer League. Limits on foreign players prevented the Wave from fielding Kinsey, but he was available in the event of injuries to any other players. The team released him at the end of the season.
On March 29, 1989 Kinsey joined his team the Fort Lauderdale Strikers for the coming outdoor season. The leg injuries continued to hinder Kinsey which caused him to be unable to play in six games during the regular season. The Strikers went on to take home the league title. After they folded, the Los Angeles Lazers folded during the summer and the Wichita Wings of MISL claimed Kinsey in the 12th Juli dispersal draft. When the Wings were unable to make the offer Kinsey who was signed by the Dallas Sidekicks as a free agent. Following Kinsey was a part of the San Diego Sockers eliminated the Sidekicks from the playoffs, Kinsey signed with the Miami Freedom of the American Professional Soccer League.

Kinsey was a player at Manchester City between 1979 and the year 1986. He played 101 times with Manchester City within the Football League and scored 15 goals which included an in the final at Wembley with Chelsea in the inaugural Full Members Cup Final, prior to his transfer the Minnesota Strikers in the United States to play indoor soccer.
On October 30, 1986 The Minnesota Strikers of the Major Indoor Soccer League signed Kinsey. Kinsey joined the league following Alan Merrick, coach of the Strikers observed Kinsey performing in England in this summer. He was awarded the 1986-87 Young Player of the Year. Following the conclusion of 1988’s MISL season in April, Kinsey signed with the outdoor Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the American Soccer League. The Strikers were invited to the ASL championship game , but lost to Washington Diplomats. Washington Diplomats. The Diplomats won, however, Kinsey did not play due to a tear in his muscle in his groin in the semi-finals. In the latter part of October 1988, Kinsey joined the Los Angeles Lazers of MISL for the indoor season 1988-89. A groin injury slowed Kinsey to just 19 games with the Lazers.
In May 1992, Kinsey returned to the United States where he signed with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. He rediscovered his scoring touch, bagging goal in his first game and totalling seven in eleven games.
