Steve Flack is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on May 29, 1971 in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. Steven Richard Flack (born 29 May 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Cardiff City and Exeter City.
The year 2003 was the time he was subject to being relegated out of his position in the Football League with Exeter, scoring the club’s only score in that league on the last date of their season with the 1-0 win over Southend United. Despite the win, Swansea City survived after winning their final game which saw them relegated Exeter back to the Conference. Flack served as the team’s PFA representative, and later spoke about the financial problems they faced, saying “Players weren’t getting paid, some lost their houses, some lost their relationships. […] There was loads going on – it wasn’t good.” After their relegation, many clubs such as Hull City and Bristol Rovers who made offers of six figures for the striker. Bristol Rovers offered to acquire Flack but he turned them down to remain at home in Exeter the city where his parents settled.
On 26 May 2006, Flack signed for Exeter neighbours Tiverton Town as a player–coach, but on 7 December of the same year he joined Conference South club Dorchester Town on non-contract terms. He made his debut in a 0–0 draw with Braintree Town two days later, before scoring his first goal for the club in their following fixture, a 2–2 draw with Lewes. During his time at Dorchester, he scored twice in six appearances for the club. Flack was released on 1 March 2007 but complained that the club had done so without his knowledge, stating that he only discovered he had been released when an opposition manager contacted him and that he was owed wages by the club. However, Dorchester chairman Chris Pugsley refuted the claims.
The following season, Flack was mainly used as a substitute, although he did score the only hat-trick of his Exeter career in eleven minutes during a win over Southport on 4 March 2006, the fastest ever hat-trick scored for the club. He was awarded a testimonial match against Torquay United in July 2006 having spent ten years with Exeter, making over 400 appearances and becoming the club’s fourth highest league goalscorer of all-time. At the time of his departure, he was the longest serving player at the club.
When he was playing at Cambridge, he drew attention from various Football League clubs, including Cambridge United, Lincoln City and Barnet prior to signing with Third Division side Cardiff City in November 1995 for a fee of PS10,000. Cambridge United had already agreed an agreement with Flack regarding a transfer, but an offer from Cardiff brought him back into South Wales. Before becoming a professionally, Flack had worked as hod carrier and bricklayer on construction sites. He also trained as a boxer, as well as a stand-up comedian. His debut as a professional with the club on January 13 1996, in a 1-0 loss against Northampton Town, before scoring his first goal in a 3-1 loss at Wigan Athletic on 16 March 1996. He played ten times in his debut season as a professional with five of them in substitute roles, but the introduction in the form of Steve White at the start of the 1996-97 season was a time when Flack struggle to get into the first team.

Born at Cambridge, Flack grew up in Orwell, a village in Cambridge. Orwell and played football as a youth for a variety of local clubs prior to joining the village’s soccer team Orwell which was where his father Richard was a player throughout his professional career. When he made his debut for the senior team as a left-back, at 16 years old He later switched to striker and became the top scorer for the club in two seasons. The Orwell senior team was broken up shortly afterwards and he was able to move on to Foxton where his prolific scoring attracted the interest to Cambridge City, joining the club in the month of August 1994.
