Steve Duggan is one of the most popular and richest Snooker Player who was born on April 10, 1958 in Doncaster, England. Born on April 10, 1958, Duggan made his professional debut in 1983. He made it to the final 32 in his first tournament which was the 1982 Professional Players Tournament, losing 2-5 to Ray Reardon, but made only modest progress during the following two years. The 1985 Matchroom Trophy, Duggan defeated veteran Fred Davis 5-1, the still competitive Reardon 5-4. Ian Black of Scotland 5-1 and Willie Thorne 5-4 before losing in the quarterfinals, losing 2-5 against Cliff Thorburn having at one time lead Thorburn at one point leading Thorburn 2-1. It was the best season of his career to the point. It also helped increase his ranking in the world rankings for the 1986-87 season , which he climbed to 35th.
Following this Duggan’s performance, however, fell again, and he dropped off the list of top 64 teams in 1992, and was ranked as 84th worldwide. The 1995-96 season ended 228th Duggan lost his professional status at the age of 38.
The 1988-89 year saw an improvement in his performance, when Duggan made it to the final 32 in the 1998 International Open, Grand Prix, Canadian Masters, UK Championship and, in 1989, made his debut performance at Crucible Theatre, in the final 32 at the World Championship. Duggan had been able to easily beat Fred Davis and John Spencer together with Mark Rowing in the qualifying rounds, but was regarded as an underdog in his first round opponent, the well- known Welshman Cliff Wilson. Duggan defeated Wilson by 5-0, and defeated Wilson 10-1, only to be defeated at 3-13 Steve Davis in the last 16 rounds. Davis was to go to win the championship.

Steve Duggan (born 10 April 1958) is an English former professional snooker player.
Another win followed; Duggan played Rex Williams in the final 32 at the 1986 International Open, losing 4-5 and Jimmy White in the last 16 of the 1987 Classic at which White beat him 5-1. In the British Open that year, Duggan was defeated 2-5 by Thorne in the final 32. However, losing 3-10 in the final against Tony Chappel in qualifying ended his World Championship hopes.
The following year, Duggan progressed further in the World Championship, but was defeated 5–10 by John Virgo in the last 48.
