The beginning of his Australian professional career (and life) began when he relocated to Hobart and joined Hobart’s Hobart Devils. He was selected for the All-NBL first team during his first season. He was ranked fourth for scoring during his rookie season, averaging 32.7 per game. He also was second in the categories in assists (7 per game) and thefts (3.4 per match).
