Srikanth was first seen in Sasi’s romantic movie Roja Kootam (2002) that was a commercial hit. Srikanth later appeared in a successful project April Madhathil (2002) alongside Sneha and Sneha, followed by Manasellam (2003). He was awarded the Tamil Nadu State Film Award Special Prize for his performance in the film Parthiban Kanavu (2003) produced by Karu Pazhaniappan. Srikanth’s first straight Telugu film was Okariki Okariki Okaru. Srikanth released the movie under the title Sriram to avoid any the confusion of an other Tollywood actress, Meka Srikanth. The first film he released in 2004 was Varnajalam and was and then Bose and Bose, where Srikanth was in a role with Sneha in a second film following the release of Maadhathil. Kana Kandaen (2005) produced by K.
