Sophie Katrina Walton (born 7 November 1989) is an English football player who plays in the midfield in Nottingham Forest in the FA Women’s National League North. She has previously played at Leeds United, Notts County and Doncaster Rovers Belles. She was a member of England at the youth level. Sophie’s sibling Simon Walton is also a player, and began his own professional career at Leeds United.
When Leeds were unable to get into the brand new FA WSL, Walton reportedly joined nearby rivals Doncaster Rovers Belles. However, when the first FA WSL season started, Walton chose to play for Lincoln Ladies. She was a part of the team following their move in Notts County for the 2014 FA WSL season, and was a part of the 2014 FA Women’s Cup Final, losing 1-0 to Chelsea in the final at Wembley Stadium.
Walton left Notts County on the expiry of her contract and sat out the 2016 season due to pregnancy and childbirth. She agreed to join FA WSL 2 club Doncaster Rovers Belles in January 2017. Doncaster Rovers Belles won the WSL 2 league title but renounced their place in the new FA Women’s Championship, sparking a player exodus which saw Walton join Guiseley Vixens in July 2018.
On February 11, 2010 Walton began the 3-1-0 Premier League Cup final win against Everton in order to help Leeds to win its first silverware major after losing their FA Women’s Cup finals of 2006 and 2008, aswell in their participation in the Premier League Cup final in 2007.

Walton was raised within Sherburn-in-Elmet and played in the Sherburn White Rose before joining Leeds United under-12s at the age of nine. In September 2005 Walton made her Premier League debut for Leeds in a 2-0 loss to Charlton Athletic.
