Snorre Serigstad Valene (born the 16th of September, 1984 in Oslo) is an Norwegian politician and musician (SV). Valen was elected as a member of the Stortinget from Sor- Trondelag, in 2009, and is the deputy leader for the Stortinget since of 2015. Valen was previously an assistant in communications for NTNU Social Research.
When he was elected into the Norwegian Parliament in 2009, He was a member of the Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment between 2009 and March 2012. He has been the 2nd vice-chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence since April 2013.
Between 2007 and 2008 Valen was the editor of the paper that was short-lived Arbeideravisa located in Trondheim.
