Then, in January of 2006 Miotto became a member of Danish First Division club Olstykke FC in July, aiding them in avoiding being relegated. Miotto moved from Akademisk Boldklub in 2007 and left in June of 2008 to join Koge BK in July. In the following season, He signed with Herfolge Boldklub in January of 2009 and saw the club elevated into the Danish Superliga before departing in June.
The next season, West Bromwich Albion manager Gary Megson signed his former goalkeeper until the conclusion 2004-03 season, which was in March. Albion were promoted into the Premier League that season and during the summer, Miotto was granted an extension of one year to his contract for a year at The Hawthorns. In that season, alongside Russell Hoult and Tomasz Kuszczak Miotto’s contribution to his dressing rooms was recognized by his fellow players through his inclusion in the leadership group of players and also contributing regularly to Albion’s matchday program, Albion News. His place as a member of The Hawthorns was further recognised in 2012 when he was invited for his contribution to “In Pastures Green” by Chris Lepkowski, a book dedicated to Albion’s most prosperous periods, which ran from 2000 until the year 2010.

In Launceston, Tasmania, Miotto graduated in Education from University of Canberra. University of Canberra. He was a highly skilled track and field athlete who took part in the country’s training program of the Australian Institute of Sport. Being a triple-jumper, he achieved a top national ranking and was thought to be potential Olympian for 1992. However, in 1990 , he was struck by an injury which led to his playing football as a goalkeeper. He started his career with Riverside Olympic. He joined the club in 1994 and was snubbed to Blackpool coach Sam Allardyce. He played an entire season with Bloomfield Road before a serious hand injury ended his career. He was healed and was able to return to Blackpool under the guidance of manager Gary Megson 18 months later. In July 1998, he made the move into Hartlepool United, for whom they played five games over the course of two seasons, and made his debut in professional football at the age of 29.
He was a member of Scunthorpe United for a brief time in 2000, but later transferred back to Scotland in the Scottish club Raith Rovers in May 2001. He was a member of St Johnstone in February 2003 and was a hit with the fans from the Perthshire club. He was awarded the fan’s prize without ever playing in a first team match.
He joined Conference Premier team York City on 12 February 2010 as player and goalkeeper coach, providing playing cover for Michael Ingham and Josh Mimms. After the end of the 2009–10 season, shortly after seeing York lose the play- off final to Oxford United at Wembley, Miotto was appointed goalkeeper coach at League One team Tranmere Rovers. At 41, Miotto decided to retire from football and left Tranmere on 2 March 2011 to pursue other business interests.
