Sibtain Raza Shah (born 10 October 1985) is a Kuwaiti cricketer. He was born in Kuwait, Sibtain was raised in Pakistan and played in for two years (2007-08 as well as 2008-09) in Pakistani national tournaments played by teams from Lahore. The player made his debut with the Kuwaiti national team in 2002 in the ACC Trophy, aged 16 and has been playing regularly since when he was 16.
In the team of The Lahore Lions, Sibtain made his debut in the limited-overs format later in the 2007-08 season, playing against Khan Research Laboratories in the ABN-AMRO Cup. He scored two wickets in his second game with Habib Bank, and finished with 2/50 in 10 overs (his most impressive list-A bowling statistics). Sibtain also played three more times in the match for Lahore Shalimar in the 2008-09 Quaid-i-Azam Trophy as well being a two-time participant as a member of Lahore Eagles. Lahore Eagles in that season’s Royal Bank of Scotland Cup that was later renamed a one-day national tournament. He took just one wicket in his first-class career Sibtain ended up with a bowling rate of 276.00 that was among the lowest of all the time. While still playing in Pakistani home games, Sibtain made his debut for the Kuwait national team in the 2002 ACC Trophy in Singapore, aged just 16. His next appearance was in the 2004 edition the event in Malaysia in which Kuwait made it to the semi-finals of the tournament for the first time and the only time, and went to win against Qatar in the play-off for third place. Sibtain made 152 runs for the tournament, a second place in the tournament to Khalid Butt for Kuwait, and was named the man of the match in the clash against Maldives after scoring the 86 runs in just 86 balls, and taking two and a half from just five overs.

Left-handed batsman and off-spinner with a right-arm, Sibtain was a part of the Pakistani under-15 team that reached two finals in the 2000 ACC Under-15 Trophy and the 2000 Costcutters Under-15 World Challenge and lost both games (to India and the West Indies respectively). He was the third batsman in both tournaments and scored 110 runs in the ACC event , finishing second after Shahid Yousuf for Pakistan and the fifth overall in terms of runs recorded. He also picked up seven wickets at each event while only Sheharyar Khan having many more wickets (8) in the World Challenge.
Sibtain made his debut at Pakistan’s Under-19 One Day Tournament in the 2001-02 campaign, at 15 years old, participating for the Karachi Whites under-19 side that were defeated in the final match of the tournament by an Karachi Blues under-19 side. Following that the player changed to Lahore-based teams participating in inter-district as well as inter-region tournaments. Sibtain made his debut as a senior player in inter-district games in the 2005-06 season. After a good performance Sibtain was invited to the Lahore Shalimar squad for the 2007-08 Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. In his first appearance as a player in the first class against Islamabad in the month of October 2007 He was dismissed in both of his innings, and did not bowl.
With the notable exception of the 2010 ACC Trophy Elite tournament, which was hosted in Kuwait for the first time, and the 2014 Asian Games, Sibtain has played for Kuwait in almost all major ACC tournaments since making his debut. He led Kuwait’s wicket-taking at the 2011 World Cricket League Division Six, with a best of 4/35 against Guernsey. Against Nepal (the eventual co-winners of the tournament) in the 2012 ACC Trophy Elite, he scored 77 from 84 balls, including four sixes, to help Kuwait to an upset four-wicket win. Other notable performances have included a man-of-the-match 2/20 and 33 not out against Bahrain in the 2013 ACC Twenty20 Cup, and a five-wicket haul, 5/27, against the Maldives in the 2015 edition of the same tournament, which included a hat-trick spread over two overs.
