Shuu Shibutani is one of the most popular and richest Professional Wrestler who was born on October 9, 1979 in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Kana Shibutani (Shibui Gu Jia Nai , Shibutani Kana, born on the 9th of October 1979) is a former Japanese professional wrestler, better recognized by her brand name Shibutani Shuu Shibutani (Shibui Gu shiyuu , Shibutani Shu) . She began her professional career with JDStar in September 2004, JDStar promo in September 2004 Shibutani was a part of the promotion until the time it ended in July 2007 after which she joined Pro Wrestling Wave. After being a once Wave Tag Team Champion, she resigned professionally in the month of May of 2015.
After being off for more than an entire period of time Shibutani came back to Pro Wrestling Wave in the 28th of August in 2011, but lost in a match against Akino in her first match back. In September, Shibutani along with Cherry joined the Dual Shock Wave tournament as the “Classic Gals”, but they were eliminated in their initial round match against Ayumi Kurihara as well as Kana who then went on to win the entire event. On the 27th of October, Shibutani was a part of Team Wave in the Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling’s Joshi Puroresu Dantai Taikou Flash tournament, a single-elimination event in which various joshi promotions competed against one another. On January 4 , at Wave’s inaugural competition of 2012 Shibutani got another major singles victory over Wave Tag Team Champion Ayumi Kurihara. On February 1st, Shibutani, Kurihara and Mika Iida joined forces alongside Kana Shibutani and Mio Shirai to create Mio Shirai and Kana to form the White Tails stable, named after Wave’s most evil allies, Black Dahlia. On April 30 Shibutani participated of Toshie Uematsu’s retirement game which was a tag-team match that she as well as Moeka Haruhi were defeated Uematsu along with Ran Yu-Yu. On May 16 Shibutani was a participant in into the 2012 Catch the Wave tournament, participating in a round-robin group consisting of players from White Tails. In her first match, Shibutani was defeated by Ayumi Kurihara. The second time she wrestled,, on May 29 Shibutani took on Kana to a 15-minute time draw. On the 17th of June, Shibutani wrestled in her second time-limit draw at the tournament alongside guests White Tails member, Wrestling New Classic (WNC) representative Syuri. Shibutani ended her match on the 1st of July by winning against Mio Shirai, who failed to make it through the block. On the 16th of July, Shibutani and Shirai unsuccessfully took on Gami as well as Tomoka Nakagawa for the Wave Tag Team Championship in an elimination match of three players that also featured the duo consisting of Moeka Haruhi, and Yuu Yamagata. On September 1st, Shibutani made her debut appearance at Ice Ribbon in four and two-and-a-half years, winning Miyako Matsumoto, in a singles game. On the 23rd of September at Ribbon no Kishitachi 2012, Shibutani participated in an all-three-way match. Hailey Hatred defeated Neko Nitta to take home the Triangle Ribbon Championship. The following day, Shibutani entered the 2012 Dual Shock Wave tournament alongside Syuri. With wins over Shidarezakura (Hikaru Shida and Yumi Ohka) and 1st Impact (Makoto and Moeka Haruhi) and the loss to the Kurigohan (Ayumi Kurihara and Mika Iida), Shibutani and Syuri were in a tie at the high end of their blocks along with Shida as well as Ohka. On the 16th of November, Shibutani and Syuri defeated Shida and Ohka in a match for playoffs in order to reach the semifinals which, the following day they lost to Makkurokorosuke (Misaki Ohata, and Tsukasa Fujimoto). On December 14, after she and Cherry had failed in their attempt to regain the Wave Tag Team Championship from Las Aventureras, Shibutani announced she would be retiring from professional wrestling on May 3, 2015. On January 12, 2015, Shibutani made an appearance for Reina Joshi Puroresu, unsuccessfully challenging Syuri for the CMLL World Women’s Championship. Shibutani then started a retirement tour, which led to her making her final appearances for various promotions, including Ice Ribbon, JWP Joshi Puroresu, Oz Academy, and Union Pro Wrestling. Shibutani’s retirement match took place on May 3 and saw her and Cherry defeat Akino and Yumi Ohka in a tag team match with Shibutani pinning Akino for the final win of her career.
On the 26th of August on the 26th of August, 2007 Shibutani participated in the first event organized in the name of Pro Wrestling Wave, a promotion started by Gami and JDStar former JDStar star Yumi Ohka. She lost the match to Kaoru at a singles contest. Shibutani got her training professionally at the dojo associated with the JDStar promotion. She was one of the very last group of women who completed this promotion’s “Athtress” program, which was designed to develop physically attractive women into not just professional wrestlers and mainstream celebrity. In the beginning, Shibutani had unsuccessfully applied for a position as a student in the Dojo for the Major Girl’s Fighting promotion. Shibutani made her debut in the ring under the name of Shuu Shibutani on the 19th of September on the 19th of September, 2004 against Akino in the Shin- Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo. Shibutani took home her first title prior to the year’s end by beating her Athtress Fuka, her training partner Fuka were able to defeat Gami along with Drake Morimatsu for the TWF World Tag Team Championship on December 5. On November 27, Classic Gohan was eliminated from the tournament in the semifinals by Kuros (Mio Shirai, Misaki Ohata and Tsukasa Fujimoto). On December 15, Shibutani received her first shot at the Wave Single Championship, but was defeated by the defending champion, Yumi Ohka. On January 11, 2014, Shibutani returned to Ice Ribbon, teaming with Tsukushi in a tag team main event, where they defeated Miyako Matsumoto and Tsukasa Fujimoto. After pinning Fujimoto for the win, Shibutani was named the next challenger for Ice Ribbon’s top title, the ICE×∞ Championship, held by Fujimoto. Shibutani received her title shot on February 9, but was defeated by Fujimoto. On March 30, Shibutani defeated Cherry and Neko Nitta in a three-way match to win Ice Ribbon’s Triangle Ribbon Championship. She made her first successful title defense on June 7 at Ice Ribbon’s eighth anniversary event against Cherry and Miyako Matsumoto. On August 31, Shibutani lost the Triangle Ribbon Championship to Neko Nitta in a three-way match, also involving Leon. On October 5, Shibutani made a special appearance for All Japan Pro Wrestling, teaming with Yumi Ohka in a tag team match, where they defeated Kana and Mika Iida.
