He was picked for the Green and white teams in the year 1996’s Dispersal Selection for CFL (now extinct) American teams. He was a part of the 1997 and 1998 seasons as a member of team Blue and Gold, where the most success came in 1997, as an all-star and as finalist to win the MODP Award. He played for the Stamps in 1999 and 2000 and with The Green Riders for 3 last seasons (2001 from 2001 to 2003)

After playing his soccer at University of Michigan, Peoples was signed to The Las Vegas Posse, a CFL expansion franchise in 1994. Las Vagas Posse folded a year later. He was transferred to a different CFL American team, the Birmingham Barracudas, in 1995.
