International rights to the multi- million-copy bestseller, Thank You Look After Mom were sold across 19 countries including those in the United States and various countries in Europe and Asia beginning with China and was made available in English by Chi-young K. Kim. The book was published on March 31, 2011. She was awarded the 2011 Man Asian Literary Prize for Thank You Mom. being the only woman in history to be awarded the prize.
