Sharon Danville (nee Colyear, born 22 April 1955) is a British former hurdler and sprinter. She was a member of Great Britain at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and also at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. She took home an Olympic bronze medal at the 100 metre hurdles during the 1998 Commonwealth Games, while in the 4 x 100 meters relay, she took home the gold medal during the 1978 Commonwealth Games and a silver medal at the 1978 European Championships.

After a few quiet years and now as Sharon Danville, she ran 13.66 to place 3rd in the 100m high hurdles event at 1983’s UK Championships behind Shirley Strong and Pat Rollo. She was selected to her participation in the Los Angeles Olympics the year 1984 when she completed 13.46 in the 100m hurdles heat to make it to the semifinals which she then was able to improve to 13.35 to finish fifth in the second semi-final, but missed in the last by one spot.

Colyear was awarded her 2nd AAAs 100m hurdles crown in the year 1978. She ran 13.51 to take out Shirley Strong, who was second. In 1978, at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, she took home the bronze medal at the English sweep in the final 100m hurdles which she won with the wind-aided 13.17 and was a distant third behind Lorna Boothe (12.98) and Shirley Strong (13.08). The Canadian did earn the gold medal in the relay with her teammates Bev Goddard Kathy Smallwood and Sonia Lannaman. In the following month during the 1978 European Championships, she won the silver medal for Great Britain in the relay with the same three fellows. At the 100m high hurdles she ran 13.23 seconds in her heat to be qualified for the semis. There, she finished in 13.25 and missed in the last by one position.
