Shark Tsuchiya is one of the most popular and richest Professional Wrestler who was born on February 19, 1970 in Nerima-ku, Japan. Eriko Tsuchiya (Tu Wu Hui Li Zi, born February 19th 1970) is a retired Japanese professional wrestler who is known under the codename Shark Tsuchiya (shiyakuTu Wu ). She spent the majority of her time for Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling.

After her last game on record at Super FMW in 2010, Tsuchiya has been very uninterested since then, and she’s also been working on cosmetics. The news was announced on November 8th, 2016, Tsuchiya will have her officially- announced retirement celebration at FMW’s Korakuen Hall show on November 24. It was also revealed that in August of 2015, Tsuchiya was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Then, in October of 2015 she was forced to be amputated in her right leg below the knee because of the gangrene (she initially suffered from gangrene and had to have three feet removed prior her final amputation) In May of 2016 she had her right breast removed because of cancer of the breast.

After quitting FMW at the end of 1998 Tsuchiya started wrestling in different events as a freelancer like All Japan Women’s Pro Wrestling, JDStar, Ladies Legend Pro-Wrestling, Onita Pro Wrestling, Dramatic Dream Team, NEO Ladies, IWA Japan, JWP Joshi Puroresu, Onita FMW, World Entertainment Wrestling, OZ Academy, GAEA Japan, Wrestling Marvelous Future along with Super FMW, until 2010.

Training with Tarzan Goto in the FMW Dojo, Eriko Tsuchiya debuted at the initial Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling show on the 6th of October 1989. She fell in four-way matches to Witch Warrior, which also witnessed Miwa Sato, and Kumiko Matsuda make their debuts too. Tsuchiya began the year as a teammate alongside Matsuda up to March when Yoshika Maedomari was introduced and she began a partnership with Maedomari. On March 22, 1992, Tsuchiya beat Miwa Sato to take home her first major championship in her first World Championship, the WWA World Women’s Championship, that she held for more than two months until losing to Megumi Kudo.

Then, in July of 1993, she transformed into a vicious hardcore wrestler dubbed Shark Tsuchiya. In adopting the style of hardcore that was reminiscent of Mr. Pogo, Tsuchiya quickly became the most popular female heel in FMW and was involved in an extended feud with the top female babyface Megumi Kudo. Then, in November of 1995, she won her title of WWA World Women’s Championship, which has now been merged together with the Independent World Women’s Championship, from Kudo as well as held the title for about a month before losing the title in a match with Combat Toyoda. It wasn’t until March 1997 when she was able to regain the titles from Kudo and then lost the titles the next month in a month to Kudo at the end of her retirement game. However, she was able to be able to regain her titles on September 27, 1997 she would lose to Aja Kong, in a decisive game, FMW abandoned the titles as well as the division for women, and Tsuchiya quit the business in June 1998.
