She is known professionally as Princess Punzalan. Her career began with Lovingly Yours: The Movie (1984), and Lovingly Yours Helen (1992-96). She was nominated for the PMPC Star Awards for TV in 1987. She was also a star in Mula sa Puso (1997-1999), where she starred with Claudine Barretto as the antagonist Selina Pereira Matias. In 1998, she won Best Actress.

Princess Punzalan began her career as a regular co-host on the now defunct GMA Network Sunday afternoon musical variety show GMA Supershow. She was soon promoted to her own TV drama anthology, “Princess”, in 1987 by Helen Vela’s production company Hyper Vision. Her drama anthology was shown at a later time slot to avoid any collision with RPN’s Coney on Camera (headlined by her mom’s best friends Coney).

Her drama series, Family 2+1, was cancelled in 1989 to make room for Family 3+1. Family 3+1 starred Helen Vela, Caridad Sanchez, and Ronaldo Valdez. It was a huge success and won 2 Star Awards for Best Comedy Show. The show’s main star Helen Vela died unexpectedly, and it began to decline. It was eventually cancelled. Soon after, Princess filled in the void left by her mother (as producer-host/actress) in the drama anthology Lovingly Yours, Helen which was renamed Lovingly Yours. The reformatted drama anthology continued for four more years before it was terminated by the GMA management, in 1996.

In the later 2000s, she expanded to various TV and movie roles as a character actress. One of her last TV series as a series regular was Kung Mawawala Ka a political drama on primetime airing on GMA Network which garnered attention at the time of its back to back battle with the drama series Pangako Sa ‘Yo.
