Shara Proctor (born 16 September 1988) is a British jumper who was born in Anguilla. She is the record holder from both Anguilla as well as Great Britain. On August 28, 2015, in the World Championships in Beijing she became the first British female long-jumper to leap over 7 meters (7.07) in the new British record and winning an Olympic silver medal. She also took home in 2013 the IAAF Diamond League in the event. Her younger sister is Anguillan athlete Shinelle Proctor.

The year 2012 was the time that Proctor was awarded her debut senior gold medal to represent Great Britain, a bronze medal for the long jump at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships after setting she set a British world indoor record jump of 6.89 meters.

Her longest jumps outdoors are 7.07 metres in the long jump, achieved in August 2015 in Beijing; and 13.74 metres in the triple jump, achieved in May 2009 in Greensboro.

In November 2012, Proctor relocated from her home base of training located at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach to Loughborough because the coach Rana Reider was recruited to join UK Athletics. Following Reider’s relocation from the UK to The Netherlands, Proctor relocated to stay with her coach.
