Shafiul Islam (Bengali: shphiul islaam , born on the 6th of October, 1989) is a Bangladeshi cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium-slow bowler, Shafiul has been playing for the Rajshahi Division since 2006/07.

Bangladesh was host to the 2010 World Cup in February, March, and April together alongside India along with Sri Lanka. Shafiul was chosen to be part of Bangladesh’s 15-man team. On the 11th of March, Shafiul shared in a eight- wicket partnership of 58 runs with the 9th wicket, which helped assist Bangladesh win over England with two wickets. Following the game, Bangladesh fans chanted “Bangladesh, Bangladesh Shafiul is the real hero”. Following the game, Shafiul and Mahmudullah were presented with 1 million taka as a reward for their partnership in the match. Imrul Kayes was named the man of the contest, however, Shafiul stated his opinion that “The last match Man-of-the- Match award was given to me but I did not deserve it.
