Seth Alan McKinney (born June 12th 1979) is an ex- American football player. He was drafted by Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played in the NCAA football tournament at Texas A&M Aggies Footballand football team.Texas A&M.

He was selected as a member of his Big 12 10th Anniversary Team. The following year, he received an award for his accomplishments at High School Football by being chosen to be part of the UIL All-Century team.

McKinney was signed by the Buffalo Bills on April 9, 2009.

McKinney was a draft third-round selection (90th in the overall rankings) for the Miami Dolphins in the 2002 NFL Draft. In his debut season, McKinney played in every game. In his debut, he also made his NFL debut with the Minnesota Vikings on December 21. The following year, he once again was a part of every game. He was a starter in all 16 games of 2004 as the only time in his professional career. He was only one player from the offensive line that did so. As of 2005, the player was a part on the line that gave up just 26 sacks, which is which was the fourth lowest allowed on the field. He began the season in the initial 13 games but an injury to his leg caused him to miss the last three games. He was not a part of the team in any way during the 2006 season following surgery to fix a disk within his neck.

Seth was born in Centerville, Texas, where his father was the town doctor for about 20 years. The family then relocated into Clear Lake, Texas, and then Austin, Texas. He was a student at Westlake High School in Austin in his junior year and was in class alongside Drew Brees and Chris Mihm. He played in the Div-II 5A State Championship in 1996. He was elected captain of the team and was named to the 5A all-state team twice. He was also an official state finalist in shot put in the year 1996.

McKinney played four seasons as a starter in the football team at Texas A&M. McKinney was awarded consensus All-Big-12 Conference awards and was a Academic All-Big 12 first-team choice as well as an official finalist in the Dave Rimington Trophy, given to the best center in the nation. McKinney was also chosen as a third-team All-American in The Associated Press as a junior and a second-team All-American according to the AP when he was a senior. Voting by his teammates, he won offensive lineman of the Year in both 2000 and 2001 as well as offensive MVP for 2001 and captain of the team in 2001. He graduated with an BBA as well as an MS in Management Information Systems. He was a part of the 2015 class. McKinney received a spot in the top 100 sports players in the state of Texas A&M.

On March 14, 2007, McKinney signed with the Cleveland Browns two weeks after his release from the Dolphins. McKinney started in 8 games in 2007 for the Cleveland Browns, before he was placed on injured reserve on November 10, 2007, ending his season. He was re-signed by the team on March 28, 2008.
