As of 2001, Beloussov created Acronis as an organization for managing storage of SWsoft. Acronis was founded in the year 2003. Acronis changed its name to an independent entity with a focus on backup and security software for data. Acronis employs more than 1,500 people worldwide as well as its software is available in 15 languages across the globe.

Beloussov is a co-founder and chairman of the board at Acumatica, a global cloud ERP company founded in 2007 with offices in Moscow, Singapore and Washington D.C.

Parallels, Inc. was initially a server automation and virtualization software unit of SWsoft before it was spun off into as a separate entity and maintained its own distinct branding. In December 2007, SWsoft announced its plans to change its name to Parallels and ship both companies’ products under the Parallels name. The merger was formalized in January 2008. From 2007 to 2013, Beloussov led the company as CEO, while remaining on the board of directors at Acronis.

Serguei Beloussov (Russian: Sergei Mikhailovich Belousov born on August 2nd 1971) is a Singaporean businessman as well as an entrepreneur, investor, and speaker. He is co-founder, CEO and chairman of the board at Acronis, a leading global security company that protects data and the chief founder of Runa Capital, a technology investment company. He is also the executive director of its board, and the chief designer for Parallels, Inc., an enterprise that uses virtualization technologies co-founder and chairman of the board for Acumatica which is an ERP software (ERP) company as well as the co-founder and chairman of QWave Capital.

After completing his master’s degree, Beloussov co-founded his very first business, Unium (Phystech College) that provided students in science with materials for their courses. He joined the company in 1992 and started working for an Russian computer firm known as Sunrise. Beloussov grew the business to 10 subsidiary companies, and became one of the biggest computer retailers within Russia when that he quit in 1994. After having left Sunrise, Beloussov founded and co-owned two companies: Rolsen Electronics and Solomon Software SEA. Rolsen Electronics was founded in a joint venture partnership with Vikash Shah of the Amoli Group and become one the biggest manufacturers of consumer electronics in Russia. Solomon Software SEA was a distributor and developer of the mid-market ERP provider Solomon Software in South-East Asia. Solomon Software was later acquired by Microsoft and is now called Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Beloussov has served on the board of directors since 2002. From 2007 to 2011, he turned his focus on Parallels, acting as CEO of the company. During this time he also founded a pair of venture capital funds, Runa Captical and QWave Capital. He returned as CEO of Acronis in May 2013, replacing former CEO Alex Pinchev.
