Serginho Baiano is one of the most popular and richest Brazilian footballer who was born on January 5, 1978 in Rio Real, State of Bahia, Brazil. Elisergio da Silva (born 5 January 1978) is also known as Serginho Baiano is a Brazilian retired soccer player who was a left-winger.

In the summer of 2003 Serginho was signed by F.C. Porto However, he did not make any competitive appearances. He was immediately transferred for Madeira’s C.D. Nacional as well as the Portuguese top division. He scored a record- breaking 10 goals in his first season, but only hit the net once following his signing to a contract that was permanent after an agreement with Adriano Rossato. He played in the entire 2004-05 UEFA Cup’s opening round which ended in a 1-4 aggregate defeat to Sevilla FC, and left in January of 2005 to join the South Korean team Chunnam Dragons.

Late in 2006, Serginho signed for Centro Sportivo Alagoano until the end of the state championship. However, in January 2007, he joined neighbouring Sport Club Corinthians Alagoano, changing teams again the following month after penning a one-year contract with J1 League side Oita Trinita.

Serginho left the Japanese in July 2007, moving the following month to América Futebol Clube (RN) until the end of the season. In September, he moved clubs again, playing six times for Clube Náutico Capibaribe in the season’s first division.

In the 2002-03 season, Baiano was not a regular player in the 2002-03 season for Boavista but he did play one match and scored a strike for UEFA Cup semifinalists – and in the month of Jan. 2003, he made the move to league club F.C. Pacos de Ferreira, helping the team to a sixth-best place with four goals in 12 games.
