Van Den Ban coached in the past for clubs Ajax, FC Utrecht and AZ Alkmaar together with the Holland’s U15 squad. Van Den Ban is currently working since July 2015 English club Arsenal as goalkeeping coach of Arsenal’s U6-U16 teams.

He later relocated from Telstar where he was a regular time in the Eerste Divisie in 2007/08. Van Den Ban then linked in the following year with Hoofdklasse ADO ’20 team. Van Den Ban then joined the club Ter Leede in the 2010-11 season of the Hoofdklasse. The Dutchman ended his career as a player shortly afterwards. Van Den Ban made in more than 250 appearances in his time at a club football.
