Seremaia Bai is one of the most popular and richest Fijian rugby union player who was born on January 4, 1979 in Nausori, Fiji. Seremaia Baikeinuku (born on January 4, 1979) is a retired Fijian rugby union player who played lately with the Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership as well as representing Fiji at an National level. He is a fly-half and inside Centre.

In April 2014 He signed the contract for the club Leicester Tigers.

Seremaia announced his retirement from professional Rugby effective at the end of the 2015/2016 season, with the aim to focus on his BAI (Be An Inspiration) programme, encouraging youngsters into Rugby in his native Fiji

The younger sister of Setareki Koroilagilagi also has played for Fiji and they first played with each other in June 2013 in the match against the USA.

He made his debut international for Fiji in the year 2000, during a game against Japan in which Fiji defeated 47-22. In the same year, he was selected against Samoa as well as Samoa, the USA, Canada and Italy. In 2001, he played three times three times, three times in the match against Tonga and one time against Samoa. In the third game against Tonga the player broke his ankle. In 2002, he was a part of Southland to compete in an event called the National Provincial Championship, and was to tour with Fiji to participate in the November Test series in the northern hemisphere.

He wasn’t part of Fiji’s squad for 2003’s Rugby World Cup in Australia however, he was back in 2004 to represent Fiji during two games in June, playing Tonga as well as Samoa. He was part of the team of Pacific Islanders team that toured the southern countries. He also participated in numerous international games the next season. In 2006, he captained his team Tailevu Knights for the 2006 Colonial Cup, and then was signed by Clermont Auvergne in France. He represented Fiji during the Pacific Nations Cup, and was later selected for in the Pacific Islanders squad for the tour across Europe. He then played an important part of Fiji’s quarterfinal-final-winning team in the 2007 Rugby World Cup. In 2008, he was chosen to join The Pacific Islanders in what would be their final tour. In 2009, he was named as Fiji captain for the European tour. In 2010, he signed a contract to join Castres Olympique on a two-year contract. He also played in the 2010 Rugby World Cup.

Seremaia Bai finished his career playing for Leicester Tigers after joining them in 2014. He previously played for Castres Olympique and ASM Clermont Auvergne who both compete in France’s Top 14 competition. He also plays for the Fiji national team and the Pacific Islanders. He has played under-19s, under 21s and under 23s for the Fiji national side. Bai attended Lelean Memorial School in Nausori, Fiji.
