Seekkuge Prasanna is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on June 27, 1985 in Balapitiya, Sri Lanka. Seekkuge Prasanna (Sinhala: siikkugee prsnn ; born on 27 June 1985) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who is a limited over cricket player. He is an officer in the warrant department of the Sri Lankan Army. Prasanna is well-known for his aggressive batsmanship in the final overs of ODIs. He is also an effective leg spinner, perhaps the best one following the former Sri Lanka leg-spinner Upul Chandana.

After being dropped from the team because of poor performance, Prasanna returned to the all of Sri Lanka squad for game against Ireland in the year 2016. On June 18, 2016 in the second game in the second match against Ireland, Prasanna scored a spectacular inning, which was the highest score in ODI. Prasanna scored 95 runs in just 45 balls, but not enough to score the fastest century in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka scored 377 runs during the game and took the win by the score of 136 runs.

In March 2019, he was named in Colombo’s squad for the 2019 Super Provincial One Day Tournament.

Prasanna was not part of the first team of the the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, however, he was selected to the World Cup squad as a replacement for the injured Dimuth Karaunaratne. Prasanna was the first player to play in a World Cup game against Scotland on March 11, 2015.

Prasanna was made Test debut as a cricketer in Sri Lanka on 8 September 2011 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium against Australia. The first ODI appearance was against Australia in the same series in 2011. The player’s Twenty20 International debut came against Pakistan in the UAE in 2013.
