Sebastian Pelzer (born 24 September 1980) is a retired German professional footballer who played centre-back and left-back. Pelzer played for Germany at the youth level and played in 130 games during the 2nd Bundesliga. At the age of 15, Pelzer was left-back for Germany’s German National U15 side that played against England U15’s at the Olympiastadion (Berlin) in the presence of 70,000 spectators who were there to watch them win 3-1. On the 28th of December, 2019, Pelzer was named Technical Director for the first time of Major League Soccer franchise Chicago Fire.

He was born at Trier, Pelzer began his career at FSV Salmrohr before joining 1. FC Kaiserslautern as a 16-year-old. He played in under-19’s in two seasons before moving to their reserve team for three years.
