After a short time playing for FC Cincinnati, Okoli moved back to Major League Soccer, signing with New York City FC on December 5 of 2016. New York released Okoli at the close of the 2017 season.

Okoli signed with FK Jerv from Norway in August 2018, but left the club again at the end of the year.

In July 2019, Okoli joined Austrian Austrian Regionalliga West side Pinzgau Saalfelden.

In January of 2015 The Sounders sold Okoli’s rights to New England Revolution in order to make a trade for the MLS SuperDraft and select Northwestern goalkeeper Tyler Miller.

born to Federal Way, Washington, Okoli was part of the Seattle Sounders FC Academy before enrolling in the college of Wake Forest University in 2011. As a player for the Demon Deacons Okoli earned All-ACC honours for the entire three seasons that he was at the school scoring 24 goals and 9 assists in his time at Wake Forest. While in Wake Forest, Okoli also participated in the USL PDL with the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 team in 2012 and 2013. He was also among those Academy athletes to join Seattle Sounders FC’s Seattle Sounders reserve side in the MLS Reserve League in 2011.

The month of January was when Okoli and his academy teammate Aaron Kovar, signed a professional deal for the Seattle Sounders FC. Okoli made his debut for the Sounders on the 8th of March in Seattle Sounders’ Major League Soccer opener against Sporting Kansas City at CenturyLink Field when he was substituted during the final minute of the game to replace Lamar Neagle. He was then a part of the team’s winning goal in the 93rd minutes as they defeated Sporting KC 1-0.

After his release from New England, Okoli signed with United Soccer League side FC Cincinnati for the 2016 season. Okoli led the USL in goals (16) for the 2016 season and was awarded the league’s Golden Boot. and Most Valuable Player award.
