Sean Burns (born 6 October 1991 in Rutherglen) is the Scottish semi- professional soccer player which plays at Stenhousemuir. He played over 200 Scottish League appearances for Queen’s Park and was also capped by Scotland at the U19 level.

On May 27, 2018, Burns transferred to League One club Brechin City. He played 36 times as well as scoring two goals in an awful season in 2018-19 that ended with the club being relegated in League Two. Burns quit Glebe Park at the end of the season.

On 25 January 2020, Burns transferred to League Two club Stenhousemuir on a contract running until the end of the 2019–20 season.

An alumni belonging to The St Mirren youth system, Burns was the first to be called into the squad of the first team for two matches in the final stretch of 2007-08 season however he was a non-sensible substitute in both. He made his debut for the senior team at the club as a replacement to Dennis Wyness after 72 minutes of the draw 2-2 Scottish Premier League draw with Falkirk on February 14, 2009. Burns played two substitute appearances in the 2008-09 season but failed to make another appearance before his departure at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season.

On 29 May 2019, Burns joined League One club Forfar Athletic on a one-year contract. He made 13 appearances and scored one goal before his departure in January 2020.
